Photos!
On July 4, 2009 we celebrated our marriage in Puerto Vallarta with a fantastic group of family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came and made it the most spectacular week of our lives.
There are so many memories, and many (but not all, which may be for the best) of them were captured on film.
Official photos
JenniferBrooks Photography rocks. Their photos speak for themselves.
JenniferBrooks Blog -if you're looking for a quick overview, the highlights are here.
Full library - here's where you can buy photos and see all 1500 shots. There are some great photos of guests. Until the end of August, you can get 2 for 1 prints!
Unofficial photos
We had many unofficial photographers at the wedding. There was no official photography from the rather incredible afterpary, but fortunately Jessica and Chendra managed to capture some. Here are links to the photos we know about - send us your link and we'll add it!

We met in October 2006 at our friend Maggie's wedding. We went to brother / sister undergrad schools (Toby was at MIT, Brooke was at Wellesley) and shared friends, but had never met. We got to know each other over email, chat, and phone - Brooke was getting her MBA at Stanford, and Toby was living in Boston. Within a few short months of dating, Toby relocated to join Brooke in San Francisco. If anybody needs tips about long distance relationships, we've got them! We can often be found entertaining in our San Francisco home, wandering around the city, engaging in "life experiments" like an offshore personal assistant, or traveling to far off places. |

The plan
The schedule is still under construction - we'll continue to update this as plans are confirmed. We're arriving on June 29 and departing on July 6 - several people will be staying for this length of time and we'll have lots of unofficial events going on. As for official events, see below:Thursday, July 2nd - Dance dance dance
We're currently planning on salsa lessons at the resort followed by going out to a salsa club. Stay tuned for details!Dress code: Fun tropical dancing clothes
Friday, July 3rd - Welcome tequila tasting
We will be having a pre-dinner welcome reception. We know a lot of you are coming from San Francisco and have plenty of wine tasting experience... well, get ready to taste some tequila! There will not be an official rehearsal dinner. Instead, we will be choosing a restaurant at the resort for all of our guests to head to for dinner. We'll also let you know about an after-dinner drinks location.Dress code: Night time resort wear. Ladies, think nice sundresses. Men, think Tommy Bahama.
Saturday, July 4 - The big day
Our ceremony will start at around 7pm (time to be confirmed later) and our dinner and reception will start at around 7:30pm. Fire dancers, couches on the beach, and a great bar selection are all on the agenda.Dress code: Sophisticated beach party. Ladies, think elegant sundresses. Men, you can still think Tommy Bahama.

The wedding and all surrounding activities will be held at the Dreams resort in Puerto Vallarta. We chose Dreams because it is reasonably priced, has a beautiful beach, and can accommodate a group of our size. And there is Wifi in all the rooms. We strongly encourage you to stay at Dreams - because it is an all-inclusive resort, it is somewhat complicated to come onto the resort property if you're not a guest.
What is the rate? The double occupancy wedding rate is $290 per night. This provides accommodation, food, and unlimited drinks for two people (so it works out to be $145/person/night).
When should I come? We are arriving on June 29 and departing on July 6. We would love you to extend your trip as long as possible. In general, most of our guests are coming in on July 2 and departing on July 6.
How do I make a reservation? Contact our travel account manager,
Lindsey Alston at Luxe Destination Events to reserve your room. Her email address is Lindsey@luxedestinationevents.com
and the phone number is
You will need to put down a $200 deposit (per person). You'll have to select some dates, but don't worry - you'll be able to make changes up until April 1 without a penalty. That is also when payment will be due in full. We strongly encourage you to use Luxe for your reservations - the rate is a great deal, and they will help make your life easy. Should you need to reserve through another method, we recommend searching Expedia.
What if I don't stay at Dreams? If you decide not to stay at Dreams, please let us know so that we can make arrangements for you to come onto the resort property for our ceremony and reception on July 4.
Getting there: We chose Puerto Vallarta because it is relatively easy to get to from both the east and west coasts of the U.S. The airport is a breeze - almost easier than flying domestic. There are nonstop flights from San Francisco, LA, and NYC. We've found round-trip prices starting at $250.
Once you arrive at the Puerto Vallarta airport, the fastest way to get to Dreams is via taxi for around $15.
Puerto Vallarta Activities
There are more activities in Puerto Vallarta than you could possibly do during your stay. We'll continue to update this page - if there are any activities you know of that aren't listed, please let us know and we'll post them!
Kiteboarding: We know a few of our friends are fans of kiteboarding. Puerto Vallarta was the site of the 2007 championships, and we hear it's a great place to kiteboard.
Tequila challenge: According to research by certain family members, the resort serves 60 different kinds of Tequila. It is believed one could sample all of these within 4 days.
Our understanding is that Vallarta Adventures it he best tour company around. Check out options for scuba diving, snorkeling, dolphin encounters, canopy tours, and more at vallarta-adventures.com. We're definitely interested in a canopy tour - if you're interested too, let us know and we'll organize a trip.
Gift Registry
Your attendance is all the present we need! We know that it's expensive to travel - and we really want you to be there more than anything else.
Should you wish to also give a gift, we are registered at a couple of places:
